Command line
Engine commands you run from the site folder, and one line for the hosting scheduler.
If you have a command line, the following is available from the engine folder.
php nex1on check is everything needed on the server
php nex1on routes which addresses are declared
php nex1on migrate:status whether migrations are applied
php nex1on module:list modules and their state
php nex1on mail:test <address> send a test email
php nex1on user:create ... create a user account
php nex1on serve local development server
php nex1on queue:work process the queue (for the scheduler)
php nex1on doctor check the engine against itself
php nex1on cache:clear clear the page cache
php nex1on gc remove expired and old dataAlmost none of this is required: the same can be done in the panel.
Except for one line in the hosting scheduler. Take it ready-made from the panel: System → Diagnostics → Queue. It looks like this:
*/15 * * * * curl -s https://your-site/cron/<key> >/dev/nullIt does two things: it processes the email queue and, once a day, tidies up after the site: expired sessions, expired keys, old logs. It does not need a command line: cheap hosting usually has none, but almost always has a scheduler.
The engine also processes the queue by itself, at the tail of ordinary requests. That is enough for a site people visit, and not enough at night: an email to someone who has just registered will wait until the first visitor.
