Add-on catalogue: modules and themes from our server
Where to find and how to install new modules and themes, and how this differs from installing from a file.
Add-ons → Add-on catalogue is a shop window from our server: modules and themes together, by section. Find what you need, see how it looks and install it. What is already installed is marked “Installed” (and if a newer version exists — “Update available”).
What you need
The catalogue and installing themes and modules from our server open with a licence key. Modules are visible to those with the modules permission, themes to those with the themes permission. A list of modules you do not have yet is also on the “Modules” page: at the bottom there is a “Find more in the catalogue” link.
How to install
A module is taken with the “Get” button: its files go into the modules folder, and you install and switch it on yourself — when you decide, and after a database backup. A theme is installed with the “Install” button. Both buttons go through protected routes: licence, password entered again and a journal entry. The signature is checked on the archive at installation, not on the catalogue description.
The catalogue refreshes from our server in the background while the page is already drawn: if the server did not answer, you see what you already have, and the “Retry” button asks it once more.
Catalogue or file
If the module you need is not in the catalogue or you have it as a separate file, install it from an archive (see the article “Installing a module or theme from an archive”). Updates of already installed modules and themes are on the “Updates” tab.
