NEX1ON 0.9.5 — Bulk actions and one bin for the whole engine

Until now each panel section handled removing ten entries at once in its own way: some had checkboxes, some did not, some had their own bin that nothing could be restored from. In 0.9.5 it works the same everywhere.

Bulk actions

Moving items to the bin in bulk is now available in private messages, contact messages, pages, polls, subscribers, newsletters, the media library and products. Selection covers only the visible entries on the current page, so you cannot accidentally delete thousands of entries hidden by a filter.

A bulk action does not bypass permissions: each entry is checked individually, as if it were removed one at a time.

Shared bin

• Checkboxes and "Select all on this page".
• Bulk restore and bulk permanent deletion; permanent deletion asks for a separate confirmation.
• The bin is loaded once per action, not again for every entry.

Private messages 1.1.0

A panel section: search, filtering by read and unread, message selection. The module has no bin of its own — messages go to the shared one. By default only the administrator role may view other people's conversations.

Intentionally left out

• Shop orders cannot be deleted in bulk: they are financial records.
• Neither can roles, system settings and redirects: the cost of an accidental selection is too high.

Fixed

• The emails section crashed with a 500 error on opening.
• The product selection script sat inside the page head, did not run and showed up in the browser tab.
• The emails migration failed when the module was reinstalled.

How to update

Upload the files and click "Update": the Private messages 1.1.0 module will apply its migration and register its permissions.
