Member trust levels
How the site raises trust in active members by itself, what each level opens and how to pin a level by hand.
A trust level (0–3) is calculated by the site from a person's reputation and history. It exists so that proven members are not slowed down by newcomer restrictions. It is not a role: the level gives no rights in the panel.
How to turn it on
Off by default: everyone is level 0 and everything works as before. Turn it on in “Reputation → Reputation settings → Trust levels”. The table of terms and the manually locked levels are on the “Trust levels” page in the Reputation section.

How the level is calculated
All the terms count at once: reputation points (without “Helpful” from one's own accounts), the age of the account with a confirmed email, accepted posts in different discussions, and days without spam and blocks.- Level 1: account 3 days old, 3 discussions, 30 clean days.
- Level 2: 14 days, 15 discussions, 90 clean days.
- Level 3: 60 days, 50 discussions, 180 clean days.
What a level opens
- 1 — images in comments at once, without the newcomer pauses of the forum and news suggestions.
- 2 — comments and forum posts without pre-moderation; such a person's report weighs 2.
- 3 — a report weighs 3 and, if you allowed it, links without “nofollow”.
Settings
- “Links without nofollow at the top level” — off by default. Turn it on only if you trust the community: otherwise it is a loophole for SEO spam. Do not turn it on for a site with open, unattended registration.
- “Auto-hide on reports: weight threshold” — how much report weight hides an item; 0 means never.
- “Account age for “Useful”, days” — 3 days by default.
