Mailing segments

How to send a letter to only part of the subscribers: the “To” conditions, saved segments and who never gets the letter.

Updated 07.11.2026

A segment lets you write not to all subscribers but only to those the letter suits.

Where to find it

In “Newsletter → Write a letter”, in the “To whom” block. The conditions work together with the chosen language and tag.
  • “Topic” — any or a chosen one.
  • “Subscribed” — over all time or in the last N days.
  • “Not sent a letter” — does not matter, or for N days and more.

Save a segment

To avoid picking the conditions every time, press “Save this choice as a segment” and give it a name (at least one condition is needed). A saved segment is picked from the “Saved segment” list; remove one you no longer need with “Delete segment”.

Who never gets the letter, whatever the segment

  • unsubscribed people;
  • those who have not yet confirmed the subscription;
  • addresses on the stop list;
  • addresses with the “Mail bounced” status.
If the segment conditions could not be read (for example, the list of topics or the sending records are gone), the letter goes to nobody: this is a safe refusal, not a mailing error. Open the letter and choose the conditions again.

Good to know

  • There is no segment by default: the letter goes to everyone who fits the language and tag.
  • A segment is not a secret: the recipients see the letter itself.
  • Deleting a saved segment does not change letters already written: the conditions are copied into each letter.
