N1 Nex1on

For developers

Build your own features as a module instead of editing the core, so an engine update does not overwrite your work.

php nex1on module:new <name> [Title] a working module skeleton
php nex1on module:check <name> seven checks before release
php nex1on module:pack <name> check and package
php nex1on doctor check the engine for consistency

The check looks inside: whether settings match what the code reads, whether the routes and permissions that get called exist, whether actions are named in the log, whether displayed strings are translated. None of these problems shows up when you click through the pages: a setting saves, “Saved” appears, and nothing changes.

The skeleton is not a description of how things should be done but a working module that installs right away, can be enabled and shows its own page. You edit it from there.

The structure of modules, events, migrations and translations is described in README.md.
