Contacts: the map, branches and “nearest to me”

Section: Admin → Settings → Contacts settings and Contacts in the module’s menu. The “Contacts” module is part of the restaurant, salon, company, studio and events kits; in the others turn it on in Add-ons → Modules.

Address, phone and hours

Enter the address, phone, e-mail and opening hours once: they appear by themselves on the page /contacts (and in the site menu), in the footer and in the data search engines read (a place card with phone, address and hours). Until at least one field is filled, visitors do not see the page, and you see the note “Add address and hours”.

• Hours: one line per weekday (“09:00-18:00”, with a break “09:00-13:00, 14:00-18:00”, empty means a day off) and, separately, special days (“2026-12-31 closed” or a period “2026-12-25..2027-01-02 closed”). “Open now” is worked out from these lines in the site’s time zone.
• Company details and the type of business for search engines are entered in the same settings, if you want them.
• The tick “Show contacts under the text” in a page’s editor adds the contacts under that page’s text.

The map

In “Which map to show” choose OpenStreetMap, Google Maps, Yandex Maps or “No map (links only)”. No API key is needed. The map is not loaded with the page: until the visitor presses “Show map” (or has already allowed external content in the cookie banner) the page contains nothing from a third party. The buttons “How to get there” and “Open in Google/Yandex Maps” are always there. For OpenStreetMap enter the point in the field “Coordinates”: latitude and longitude with a comma.

Branches

A second café, a second salon: Contacts → “+ Add branch” (up to 12). A branch has its own name, address, phone, e-mail, opening hours and map point. The Contacts page then shows cards of the main address and the branches with the buttons “Show on map” and “Route”. A deleted branch goes to the common Bin and can be restored.

“Nearest to me”

Above the cards there is a search by city or street, the switch “Open now only” and the button “Nearest to me”. The visitor’s location is read by their browser and stays in the browser: it is never sent to the server. If the visitor refuses, they are told how to allow it.
